it hurts so good...

well…mr trainer dude royally made me hurt! core, tire flips and sprints, triceps and biceps, and then i finished up with squats… it hurts to do just about anything.. but it’s a good hurt. i enjoy the pain, it really makes me aware of where and how my work outs are affecting my body. i thought i would go to the gym this morning and just do some cardio to help work out some of the soreness… that darn elliptical almost killed me! i was sweating my butt off and in so much pain (ya know that burn…) but i pushed through and have been relaxing and pampering myself for the afternoon. 

I need to get better at letting my whole body rest - but if i do not make it into the gym my day isn’t complete.. need to find something else to keep my mind and body preoccupied for the days i am resting..

a new beginning with a happy/fit ending

I have been scrolling through tumblr for the last few weeks while also starting a getting healthier plan… For about five weeks i have been on a high protein, low carb plan. Not necessarily to lose weight but to burn the fat and prep my body for building muscle. I then joined gold’s gym.. i am definitely addicted to working out, but i am not sure which work outs to do or what is best for what my final goal is - which is buff-ness, in a sexy way. So i met up with a trainer and have been working with him off and on for the last three weeks - mostly off since he was on “vacation”. i do some cardio (30 minutes on the elliptical) every day. I then add weights for my arms, butt, and legs. I took a picture at the beginning of all of this but am hesitant to post it just yet… any how - my main goal is to burn the fat and build muscle.. i want to participate in the gun show! my eating plan as i said is high protein and low carb so i start with a protein shake with milk, then breakfast is greek yogurt, am snack - oranges or grapes, lunch - meat (chicken/beef?fish) cottage cheese, cucumbers or oranges or grapes, pm snack - cliff protein bar, dinner - same as lunch, protein shake with water before gym time, double protein shake with milk after gym time.  

So there is my introduction and what i have started… i am 31 years old, mother of two, and 137lbs. i do weigh myself -more so because i find it intriguing than anything else, but know that i can not base my happiness off of this as i will be losing fat and adding muscle so i expect to gain weight. i do not have any  intention of being super duper skinny, i actually want to fill out and be more curvy!
